 swear : a promise
  to swear off : serious promise to yourself
in turmoil : confusion, trouble, whole life is upside down
  ex. My life is in turmoil these days, I lost my job and I broke up...
put out some feelers : something you do to test the reaction
   feelers means in the sentense "resume"
   * feelers : 더듬이
my gut feeling : done something to check out opinion
umpteen : so many, lots and lots, huge numbers
  ex. I've had umpteen emails
ego-booster : gives you more confidence
  ego : myself, my idea
  confidence : the feeling or belief
riding on : depending on
agonized : can't dicision, intense(격렬한) time of indecision(우유부단함)
bolted : ran, escaped
  ex. The dog bolted from the car
blatantly obvious : extremly obvious

Skip it : forget it. I don't want to talk about it
not have the guts : lack the courage to do something(용기가 없음)
gut : 내장.
  위의 not have the guts는 내장이 없다는 뜻이므로 뭔가 부족해서 못한다는
  have a lot of guts는 반대로 용기, 배짱있는
now you're talking : I didn't agree with you before but now I agree completely
  Let's go skiing
  -> you're talking

wouldn't be caught dead : would never want to be seen with some because dislike or shame (죽기전에 다시는 보고싶지 않다는?)

give it a shot : try something

what's eating you : what's bothering you. (고민이 뭔데?)
get it off your chest : reveal something that has been bothering you(털어놔봐)

put it off : postpone, delay until later
bite the bullet : make the decision to do something after hesitating for some time
                        (고민을 한 뒤에 결정을 내림)
pass up : to miss an opportunity
take the initiative : take the first step in doing somethin
bound to : be certain to (90%)
   It's bound to start raining again, soon(비가 올 것이 확실함)
that'll be the day : that will never happen, I don't expect that day to ever come

여기에서 weren't, didn't, don't 등으로 물었을때
맞으면 같이 부정으로 No, I ___ not.
다르면 반대로 Yes. I ___

물음이 You are ----, aren't you?면
맞으면 Yes, I am
틀리면 No, I'm not


1) I like onion.
2) I like onions.

1)은 그거 하나만 좋다는 이야기이고
2) 포괄적으로 좋아한다는 말임.
이것이 dog로 바뀌면
I like dog(나 개 먹는거 좋아해)
I like dogs (나 개 좋아해)
이런 의미가 된다고 함.

to break up = to split up : more common in spoken English. for non-married people
to divorce                       : for married people legal end of the marrige

they are seprated = they seprated

made up : after break up they meet again
A and B made up

they are an item : a couple
He stood her up  : He doesn't show up for a date(바람 맞추다)
She was stood up

 - for shopping / to shop
 - for pleasure
 - for business
 - to see seattle  

( for travel 은 잘못된 표현이므로 사용 못함)
 - for sight seeing / to sight see


Why did you call me?

 - to ask you something
 - just to talk
 - to inform you about the meeting
( to 는 ~하기 위해서 로 목적으로 쓰임.
  to 가 목적으로 쓰일때에는 문장의 맨 뒤로 온다)

3 meal, housework 

I just back and forth to my school


But I can find another way.


after dinner, other students went out except me.

few minute later. they came back with beer.


my last party was started.


I thanked to them


we took pictures and watched movie


actually, I enjoyed this life just can't stand here.

It is kind of pain.

so I leave.

After class I went to the library with Marian Haaz.

She is very nice, and friendly

we just look around the library and then we drunk coffee at Blenz

We talked a lot about like speaking English or living in downtown and so on.


she gave me some advises 

it was "You should try to talk a lot " like that.


I had a good time ^^

but I have to pronounciation practice and grammar and vocabulary ... everything T.T

During my afternoon class.

Jane came me to suggestion about my name

It was "Think about change your name? It's not a English name"

because "bang" has a lot of meaning

and one of the meaning is sex....


and so on, Nobody tell me.

I didn't know about it.


but I like my name.
